01. Background
DocRite provides on-site care to nursing and assisted living facilities across the United States. It supports mobile specialty services, care management, record-keeping, and billing through a single platform. Once your business grew, the legacy Odoo setup is no longer relevant.
Restricted to optometry and dependent on manual processes for everything else, the system was holding the team back. DocRite needed a modern, scalable EHR platform that could handle multiple services, improve scheduling visibility, and support mobile clinical workflows without the limitations of its outdated foundation.
02. Challenges
The most challenging aspect for us was that their legacy Odoo was built solely for optometry. It meant podiatry services had to be managed through manual workarounds that slowed everything down.
Coordinating exams, uploading results, and handling records by hand increased workloads and introduced real operational risks across the care network.
Scheduling was particularly difficult, as well as complex provider roles, varied facility requirements, and inconsistent exam forms made it hard to maintain any kind of visibility or governance.

We came up with a high-end new platform that replaced fragmented manual processes with a centralized, scalable EHR system.
The web portal standardizes scheduling across all facilities, giving coordinators clear visibility into provider availability and exam workflows regardless of service type. This Flutter-based mobile app puts that same visibility in the hands of healthcare providers as well.
They effortlessly access schedules, review patient records, and complete exam forms on the go without paper or delays. Role-based access controls bring structure to a complex provider network, ensuring correct permissions are in place across every facility.
The architecture is built for growth optometry and podiatry are supported out of the box, with new specialties requiring minimal effort to add. Standardized data capture feeds into reporting tools, giving management clearer oversight of service performance and care delivery.
